We choose not to use High Pressure Processing (HPP) because it can negatively impact the natural structure of proteins, enzymes, and beneficial bacteria elements that make raw food biologically appropriate for pets.

Instead, we use a bacteriophage-based food safety intervention, an FDA-approved technology widely used in the human food industry. Bacteriophages are naturally occurring organisms that specifically target harmful bacteria such as Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria, without affecting beneficial bacteria or the nutritional integrity of the food.

Unlike HPP, bacteriophages:

1. Do not alter taste, texture, color, or moisture

2. Preserve raw enzymes and protein structures

3. Target only pathogenic bacteria

4. Keep the food truly raw and minimally processed
